Chapter 16 Check & Challenge
1. This would be more likely to produce Micro Evolution as it will affect individual organisms rather than big groups of organisms.
2. Gene pools are all the possible genes in a species while allele frequencies are for individual environments.
3. Gene pools are more localized and so they must be relating to populations rather than to species.
4. Mutations affect a species really quickly while genetic recombination takes time.
5. It predicts that the allele frequencies will stay the same over time.
1. It is the most important in the small populations as it has a bigger effect the fewer amount of organisms present there.
2. The main forces that affect gene pools are natural selection as it is when organisms with weak adaptations are eliminated and organisms with strong adaptations survive.
3. It has the same chance of occurring each time but it increases exponentially to happen more than once.
4. The studies of twins are more important for studying quantitative traits as there are many alleles which may affect these.
Reviewing Ideas
1. A gene pool is the total genes in a population.
2. Shape and color.
3. Natural Selection does not play a role.
4. Natural Selection is the survival of the fittest.
5. Artificial selection picks the genes while natural selection has the best genes continue.
6. The color of their wings and the colors of the trees.
7. There is not enough treatment for the disease in some areas.
8. The original source is a mutation.
9. Genetic Drift is a small change.
10. It states that if an area starts with just one allele, a new one can not be present.
11. A line of closely related organisms that breed.
12. Internal Factors and the Environment.
13. Identical twins have the same DNA Fraternal Twins have different DNA.
Using Concepts
1. I think that it would become more and more recessive to the point where it dies out.
2. An open pollinated plant as it can mix with many different plants.
3. This adaptation prevents inbreeding and can help save lives because it does not pass on one of the deadly alleles.
4. I would breed them through trees and make sure they do not inbreed
5. There are not many ways for animals to get to islands.
6. Because evolution takes a long time.

Rainbow Six
Ok so this book was awesome
Lets begin
Q: the boeing plane had only two engines making it slower and more dangerous than the 737
Q: why arent the 737 the norm if they are safer and faster
C: the plane was probebly out of date.

Tom clancy- Net Force
Starting off this book is awesome. I loved it. It reminds me a lot of my favorite video game which incedntly was created by tom clancy. The Book net force is about an agency called net force. in the begining the commander of net force is going to a meeting. his convoy was atacked and he killed all but one of the attackers. this last atacker hit him at point black range it the back of the head. It was awesome how the mystery lead down to the capture of a russian civilian who was organizing a coup to gain control of the new world order

Halo wars Genisis
Q:His Biggest mistake... He failed
Q: The Arbiter failed a coup even though he had more than half the race going for him?
C: if the Arbiter was so inflential than why was he sent to prison which he escaped instead of being executed. it would have not only shown fear to the eyes of the people who opposed him but also prevented the arbiter from ever planing another coup.in my opinion it was poor judgement on the arbiters part

Reading Journal
This week i read the newspaper and saw that people have been complaining about the rising price of gasoline recently, but I have always thought that gas was a good value (especially if you were to take the $0.30, $0.40 per gallon tax off at the pump)! Obviously others need a little convincing. So the article in this week's "Autoweek" magazine brought it all to light. What if you were to buy a gallon of . . .
- Diet Snapple 16 oz for $1.29 = $10.32 per gallon
- Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz for $1.19 = $9.52 per gallon
- Gatorade 20 oz for $1.59 = $10.17 per gallon
- Ocean Spray 16 oz for $1.25 = $10.00 per gallon
- Quart of Milk 16 oz for $1.59 = $6.32 per gallon
- Evian (water) 9 oz for $1.49 = $21.19 per gallon
- STP Brake Fluid 12 oz for $3.15 = $33.60 per gallon
- Vicks Nyquil 6 oz for $8.35 = $178.13 per gallon
- Pepto Bismol 4 oz for $3.85 = $123.20 per gallon
- Whiteout 7 oz for $1.39 = $254.17 per gallon
- Scope 1.5 oz for $0.99 = $84.84 per gallon So next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on Nyquil or Scope or Whiteout!
